A Fixed Solution for Missing Teeth

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a fixed, non-removable appliance designed to replace one or more missing teeth.

Several types of bridges are available. Our dentist will evaluate your smile, explain the options, and help determine which design is best suited to your particular needs.

A traditional bridge commonly uses two crowns placed over the anchoring teeth. These crowns support one or more artificial teeth, called pontics, that fill the open space in your smile.

What Does Getting a Fixed Bridge Involve?

Receiving a dental bridge usually requires two or more visits so your restoration can be created, evaluated, and fitted carefully.

Prepare the Anchoring Teeth

After the area is numbed, a portion of enamel is removed from the two anchoring teeth to create space for the supporting crowns.

Create Your Bridge

A highly accurate impression is sent to a dental laboratory where the bridge is fabricated. A temporary bridge protects your smile while the permanent restoration is made.

Check and Secure the Fit

At the next visit, the permanent bridge is checked and adjusted. It may be temporarily cemented first, then permanently secured after your teeth and tissues have adapted.
